These are the casinos for the locals, and as such often offer rooms at a much more reasonable rate. If you must stay on The Strip, check into Barbary Coast. It is right across the street from Caesar’s Palace and in the center of the action. Otherwise, if you don’t mind doing a little bit of walking, choose one of the casinos that are a couple of blocks off the Strip.
Here is a handy hint: The best place to see the lights while taking in all the attractions included in one of your Las Vegas travel packages is on the overpass between the New York New York and the MGM Grand.
